EMAMECTIN BENZOATE 5% SG is a water-soluble granular formulation containing 5% active ingredient. It is recommended for the control of bollworms in cotton; fruit and shoot borers in okra and brinjal; diamondback moth (DBM) in cabbage; fruit borers, thrips, and mites in chilli; pod borer in red gram and chickpea; grape thrips in grapes; and tea looper in tea.

It is an insecticide with primarily stomach action and should be ingested by the larvae to be most effective. Affected larvae become paralyzed and stop feeding shortly after exposure to Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG and subsequently die within 2–4 days.
